Holy Week Song #1... (And Tuesday Tunes)

Recently been playing around with Tumblr.  Not crazy about it, but it is cool that you can upload songs, audio, video, etc.

Anyway, you will have to go here: http://parisenbleu.tumblr.com/post/4756902167/holy-week-where-the-nails-were-all-rights-go for today's blog post and song!  Yes, it is me singing...long, long ago...  Still love this song, though.

Tuesday Tunes 69: Stolen

I am feeling so down today.  Stressed out.  Tired.  Worn out.

Anyway, the weather is finally getting warmer, sunnier and less snowy.  That should help a bit.

Also, my new class at Women of Heart is going REALLY well.  I thought I would take a break from Beth Moore.  So, I am taking a course about our Identity in Christ.  So far it has challenged me to change some of my bad habits to more godly habits and to rekindle those dreams that I may have pushed down because of life's circumstances.  Daring to dream again is an amazing thing.  I think I have stopped dreaming for myself.  I am a stay-at-home mom.  What dreams can I possibly acheive in this position?  Anyway, I will keep you updated...

The other news is that we have registered Aidan in soccer for the spring.  He is going to do the skills option (2 practices a week with no games) and then they have 2 Fun Festivals (mini tournament things)!  He is quite excited.

Emma has been having a tough time lately.  She has been crying and clingy at Preschool and also bedtime.  So strange.  I guess she is just having a moment in her development.  It's okay.  I am sure it will pass.

As it is Tuesday, I thought I would post a video for today.  Here's a song that has been going through my head lately...Enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 68: Sia

I have been in a Sia kick lately.  You may never have heard of her before, but she has had a few songs featured in movies.  Anyway, this is the one that has been going through my head lately from Eclipse.  This version has nice pictures to go along with it!  Enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 67: Never Think

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.  I have really not been into blogging too much lately.  I apologize.  Life is busy these days, running kids back and forth to school and such.

Anyway, my sister and I used the "Halloween" opportunity to watch "Twilight" again.  I have really been into Rob Pattinson songs lately.  He has some on YouTube that he has performed in clubs and such.  There are a couple of his on the Twilight soundtrack as well.

This one is used in the movie when Bella and Edward are in the restaurant, after her run in with the crazy guys in Port Angeles.  (On a side note:  I was actually in Port Angeles... when I was a baby!  Stayed overnight!)  Anyway, I really like it.

Someone said that they wished Rob Pattinson would have been known for his music before his Edward role.  I agree.  He has talent!!  Enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 66: In My Daughter's Eyes

Today was the first day that I dropped Emma off at Preschool (granted she was only there an hour).  Still something came over me as I walked out.  She's my baby and she's growing up so fast.  I know she is ready.  I am willing to let go.  Still I can't help but think of how quickly life will pass now that she is in school; now that Aidan is in school.  Life will zoom past.  Anyway, here's a melancholy song for your Tuesday.  Just the way I feel today.

(A SIDE NOTE: Martina has a hard time keeping it together near the end.  I often wonder how many times she has to sing her songs over again in the studio because of the tears.  Her songs just do that to you!!)

Tuesday Tunes 65: Then

In Nelson, British Columbia

Yes, I am back, but EXTREMELY busy this week with Vacation Bible School.  It's going great and the kids are really getting into it.

We had a great few days away.  It was lovely just the two of us.  Amazing how much you just NEED that time alone without the kids.  It was great.  I will share some pictures later, but for now a Tuesday Tune.  Sorry it is so late, but this is one song that I am just in love with right now.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 64: God Gave Me You

A little break from fan vids.  Had the chance to do some song writing this afternoon.  Loved every minute of it.  May go back downstairs and do some more writing later.

Here's a song that I personally love on Christian radio right now.  Since this is my hubby's and my anniversary (on Saturday), thought this fit very well.  Especially with how life is going: ups and downs.  Anyway, enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 63: A Classic Love Story

Beauty and the BeastFashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore
My favorite Disney princess movie of all time is Beauty and the Beast.  I love that one.  I love Belle.  She is smart, loves books and wants adventure.  Just like me!!  And she has brown hair.  That is a bonus!  Also the love story is a bit different.  The princess (Belle) saves the prince (Beast).  But I think he saves her, too, from her ultimate fate of marrying Gaston...yuck!

Anyway, I also LOVE this song from Moulin Rouge.  (Especially Ewan McGregor's voice!  So nice and warm!)  So without furthur ado, here's the cute fan video I have found of Beauty and the Beast.  Enjoy!

Tuesday Tunes 62: In The Twilight...

Edward Eclipse
Fashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore
I saw Eclipse last Tuesday night (thanks to my sister and Westjet, we saw it at 7pm before it opened at midnight!!).  It was great.  You have to see it if you are a Twilight fan.  SOOO GOOD!  The best out of the three, I think.  Anyway, here's a bit of Twilight for you.  (And let me just say for the record that the books are better than the movies and I am on Team Edward!)

Tuesday Tunes 61: The Great Season Finale

Went to see Toy Story yesterday.  It was really good.  I think you should go and see it if you have the chance (3D is not important to the story line)!  I cried, even, so take some kleenex.

It was Emma's first time at a movie.  She was so cute in that huge chair, with her kid pack of popcorn and her 3D glasses on.  Would have taken a picture, but it was WAY too dark in their for that!  She really liked it.  Aidan did, too!

I am tired today.  Need to go take my vitamin.  That will help.  Just trying to push through till Friday.  Only 3 more days of school, then we can hang out in our PJs.  That will be nice.

Here's a little House (House and Cuddy - with scenes from the season finale this year) for your fan video pleasure, on a Tuesday Tunes day!!  Enjoy!!

Tuesday Tunes 60: Star Wars

Star-Wars-Comments
Aidan is sick at home today.  He is complaining that he has a sore stomach.  So, I am not going to push it today.  It has been going around his class, so I don't doubt that his body is fighting something off.  I think he is run down from school, too.  I have been feeling this way for the past week or so.  When is school going to end?  Oh right...next Friday.

I have 2 words for today's Fan Video: Star Wars!!  I grew up watching it, playing it, loving it.  Almost time for Aidan to watch it, I think.  He's 6 (which is about the time I first watched it).  I think he can handle it now.  Not too much inappropriate humor or anything, at least in the first 3.  Of course my husband KNOWS every single line of the first 3 movies.  It is cute watching him watch the movies.  Like a little boy in a candy shop.

When we were kids it was always a fight to see who would play what character.  My sister and I would fight over Leia.  Always.  I would usually win because I was older.  Just the way it goes!!  Then my sister would end up playing something else.  Boys always wanted to be Han Solo or Luke Skywalker.

Jonathan and I first got to know each other during a Star Wars marathon while on Morning Star.  He is my Han Solo.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!

Wordless Wednesday and Tuesday Tunes

Isn't she cute??  They're all angels when they are sleeping!!

I forgot to post for yesterday and I promised, too!!  Sorry.  As promised, here is another fan video.  This time it is of a favorite TV couple that I used to tune in for every Saturday night.  I loved her strength and yet her dependance on such a rough and tough kind of guy.  And I had forgotten how much I loved this song from Pocahontas.  Here's Dr. Quinn and Sully.  Enjoy!!

Tuesday Tunes 59: Fan Video #3: The Little Red Headed Girl from PEI

What to say about this week's video...  I have loved "Anne of Green Gables" (CBC Version- there is no other) for my whole life.  Loved it.  One of the reasons I always wanted to become a teacher.  One of the reasons it was okay to know I wanted to be a teacher from the beginning, because Anne knew.  Anyway, I just think this is kinda cute about Anne and Gilbert.  If you have never watched this mini-series (especially those of you from other countries) than you NEED to get your hands on a copy of it.  Such good performances by all of the cast.  It is our Canadian story told in a classic way.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!

Tuesday Tunes 59: Fan Video #2 - Buttercup and Wesley

This week I chose one of my all time favorite movies: The Princess Bride.  I could watch this movie over and over without any problems.  I love it tons.  But who doesn't?  (And hubby looks like Carey Elwes...)  Anyway, I really like this song with this couple.  Enjoy!!

Tuesday Tunes 58: Fan Video - Look After Elizabeth

Jonathan has been so busy at work lately that he brought home work last night.  Just a bit, but enough to give me some time on the computer.  It was nice.  I spent some time browsing on YouTube.  There are a TON of fan videos out there.  (Videos made by fans of favorite characters usually put to music!)  Anyway, I decided that it would be fun to look up some of my favorite couples from TV and movies.  So, I will share a few with you over the course of my Tuesday Tunes.  (I know it is Wednesday, but whatever!)  Anyway, here is the first installment.  Pride and Prejudice (BBC Version of course - is there any other?)  Thanks go to my Dad-in-law, Jim for getting me addicted to this movie.  One of my favorites.  Enjoy!!

Tuesday Tunes 57: A little Sushi in Canada

One more day of Spring Break and then it is back to the grind.  Went out with my sister last night.  Had a wonderful time shopping and eating sushi.  I never really liked it (or would even try it) until my sister told me to just take a taste.  Since then...well, I am hooked.  Love it.

Went to the Sushi Boat where the food comes around on boats and you just take what you want.  Then at the end of your meal they add up how many plates (each plate has a different color=different amount) and then you go up and pay.  It was kinda cool and should be fun to take my Mom there.

I had Japanese tea, too.  I like it more than Chinese tea.  Stronger taste, but just something a little bit extra.  It was really good.

This is a song that I heard yesterday.  I haven't heard it yet, but my sister says it is everywhere right now.  (Thanks to the Olympics!!)  Anyway, I have heard that since the Olympics, Canadians have really gone all out in their patriotism.  (By all out I mean, we are perhaps more apt to put up flags on our cars and houses, then we were before.  Nothing like those of you in the USA!)  Anyway, I hope that this is true.  We could use a bit of Canadian patriotism.  We live in a wonderful country.  We should be proud!!

Hope you enjoy the song...It's Canadian and we're proud of it!
