Top Ten Fridays: Disney Movies

Aidan is still sick. He has a fever this morning, so I am sticking close to the house today. My parents are coming over to babysit tonight. I know I should probably stay home and not go out, but Jonathan and I really need a date...So...I am going to go.

Anyway, we have been watching Wall-E lately and so, with Disney in mind, here's my top ten list...
Top Ten Disney Movies: (in random order)

10) Wall-E - so cute and girlie!

9) Cars - "The name's Mater. As in Tamater, without the 'ta'!" He's hilarious!!

8) Beauty and the Beast - My ultimate favorite. I am Belle!!

7) The Tigger Movie - Tigger is my favorite! And Roo is just looking for a big brother!

6) The Heffalump Movie - Lumpy is sooo cute and so is Roo. How can I resist! (Although I could do without some of the weird arrangements of songs that Carly Simon does!)

5) Mary Poppins - Other than "The Sound of Music", this is the other movie that my sister and I used to rent profusely from the video store. We should have just bought it!

4) Toy Story - "Please be a Mrs. Potatoe Head. Please be a Mrs. Potatoe Head!"

3) Robin Hood - I love this movie! I just do...That's all I have to say! "Oooohhh Mommy...."

2) Finding Nemo - Ellen DeGeneres as the forgetful fish is so great! "Are you my conscience?" And then there is the other fishes in the fish tank, Crush the sea turtle "Dude", the sharks "The name's Bruce"... So good! And such a good story about fathers and sons. One of Jonathan's favorites, too!!

1) Monsters Inc. - Seriously, Boo is the cutest cartoon character I have ever seen!! "Kitty!!" And then there is the whole John Goodman and Billy Crystal comedy. They are great together. So good.
------------------------
Other honorable mentions: The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty (my favorite old princess movie), The Incredibles (I want our family to have superpowers!!), Aladdin (Who can resist anything with Robin Williams? He's hilarious and really makes this movie! I also love Abu! "You ain't never had a friend like me!")...

What are some of your favorties? I would love to know!!

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Tuesday Tunes 25: Highly Addictive Oldies Song

The Big News: I am going to be looking after a friend's little girl when she goes back to work. I am really happy about it. I think it will be good for the kids to share their toys and interact with another person. I know it helped my sister and I. I still remember when my Mom did the same thing when we were little. The other kids became like our brothers and sisters. This will start in either June or September. I am glad to be helping out a friend (yes, I will get paid!) and the little girl (Maggie) is so cute.

Janet (her Mommy) and I were best friends in High school. Now we both have little girls, which has brought us back together. I am glad to be doing this. Childcare is so hard to find, and good childcare is rare! I might as well get paid and bring on another kid since Aidan is in school next year. It will be tough, but a good tough.

In Other News: Another friend was talking about this song on her facebook page. So, I am going to take you down memory lane today with this one! I will probably follow up with a few more oldies but goodies for the next few weeks. Until then, enjoy!

***WARNING: this song is highly addictive and will get stuck in your head!****

A Saturday Blogthingy (On Sunday): Emoticons

I just read PostSecret this morning. There is a secret on there that matches a secret story about someone I know. I don't really know if this secret is true, but it really makes me want to write a story about it. Anyway, you sould read that blog if you never have. It is very interesting.

Aidan got up with me this morning for my quiet time. He has been watching cartoons. My daughter is now awake, too. So, I will leave you with this fun blogthingy. Have a wonderful Sunday and remember: "Are you ready for some football???"

Happy Superbowl Sunday!! (Go Cardinals Go - at least that's who Jonathan says we are cheering for! (I don't actually know!))

Your Emoticon Is Smiling

Right now, you're feeling cheerful and content - without a care in the world.
