I went and saw
"The Lion King" yesterday. It is here for a couple of weeks and my mom was able to get some tickets from a friend at work. It was AWESOME!! I mean, the costumes alone are worth the price of admission. Never mind the acting, the songs and the characters. I liked it so much. It was excellent.
One of the highlights was a girl coming into the theater with her mother. She must have been about 4 or 5. She looked at the stage and said, "Mommy, is that the TV?" SO cute!!
The other highlight was the wonderful giraffes. I would have taken one home with me if I could have. I thought they were so cool!!
Friday night's
date night was really good. The mall was incredibly busy, which it supposedly was all weekend long! Crazy. It is a nice mall, though and I am already planning to take the girls there during the colder months when Aidan is in Kindergarten. It would be a great place to hang out for a couple of hours. We'll see...
Everyone is
tired today. I think we did too much this weekend. Even Maggie is whiny and tired. She's not usually whiny, so I know she is tired. It is rest time for awhile. Hopefully everyone (excluding Aidan) has a nice long nap.
It is nice to have Manic Mondays again!!
What is the first thing you notice about people?Shoes! I notice every one's shoes. Well, I notice there eyes and hair, too. But shoes is right up there. I love shoes!!
What song always makes you happy when you hear it?"With or Without You" by U2. I just love this song!! I love all U2, but this will always be my favorite.
What fashion trend do you just not get?
Well, it is sort of going out of style again, but the thong showing above the jeans in the back??? I never understood that one. Also, really baggy pants that are being held up by a belt??? Not sure why that looks cool. Perhaps I am just getting too old!

I have sent this video to a few people, but I think it is worth sharing here. It spoke to me so much. Days later, I am still thinking about it.
Well, he did it and he loved it. He made some friends, did a craft, ate snack. He said they even made a "real" circle for circle time. (As opposed to Preschool, where they just randomly sat around the teacher's chair!) As soon as he found his spot at one of the tables and sat down, he told Daddy he could leave. He also asked the boy next to him if they could be friends. He was fine. First day down. Only 12+ more years to go!!
