Saturday Blogthingy: Structur to the Max!!

This is totally true. I am the planner!! I love to be organized. There is nothing like organization and organizing. I would do it all day every day.

Yes, I love schedules, too!! I don't deviate much from the schedule. (Except on holidays!!) I like being predictable, the same, unchanging. I think that is why Jonathan and I get along so well. He also likes to be predictable... Like 2 peas and a pod, we are!!

You Need Structure in Your Life

You take comfort in your routine, and any deviation from it makes you feel quite nervous.

You like things to be structured and decided. You want to know what's going to happen.

The unknown makes you very nervous. If you know something is going to happen, at least you can prepare for it.

You like to have a plan A, a plan B, and if possible, plans C and D. Even if you can't plan for everything, you try!

Worshipping God

I've been meaning to share this picture with you for awhile. This is the picture that I painted at the Conference I went to on Children's Ministries. One of the sessions I went to was called "Worship Art". The lady that was leading it showed us many various types of art to do with kids. Anyway, one of the things she showed us was allowing kids to paint about a verse or a song. So, she asked for 2 volunteers to demonstrate.

Let me just say that as soon as I saw the paint and the canvasses, I totally wanted to paint. You should also note here that I am NOT artistic. At least I don't think I am.

When she was asking for volunteers, I went to scratch my head and she looked at me and said, "Do you want to do it?" I wasn't raising my hand, even though I really wanted to. I sometimes draw pictures in my journal of things that I picture when I am listening to worship music, so this was no stretch. Anyway, I did it, and the above is the result.

This painting is inspired by a song called "Glory and Honor" by Doug Horley. The words are below. The white in the picture is people praising and worshipping God. The different colors represent different people and different types of worship flowing up to God. Then the gold is God's response to our worship: filling us up with His Spirit; refreshing us; renewing us; claiming us as His own! Hence the gold glowing around us. I was really inspired and loved doing it. I love looking at it. God is good!!
-----------------

GLORY AND HONOUR to You we bring
Beautiful Saviour Your praise we sing
Heaven bows down and worships Your name
God of creation we praise

Glory and honour to You we bring
Beautiful Saviour Your praise we sing
Heaven bows down and worships Your name
God of creation we praise
God of creation we praise

And so to You, we'll give You praise
We'll give You glory to You always (rpt)

Honour the King, honour the King
We will honour the King of kings
We will honour the king, honour the king
We will honour the King of kings (rpt)

Manic Monday: My Life and Such

Just as I was writing this, Jonathan called and said he had been in an accident. No damage to the car, but there were 2 other vehicles involved. He left the scene and said he would return after he went to work and retrieved his cell phone. He said he was okay, but I was a bit freaked out.

Meanwhile, Emma and Maggie are trying to compete for my attention. I am sometimes glad that I did not have 2 girls when these two get together. There is so much jealousy and acting out that goes on with them, that doesn't happen as much with a boy and a girl. I can only imagine what it must have been like for my parents with my sister and I. At least we started out together, whereas Emma and Maggie are still learning how to be together. It's fun!!

Anyway two days of getting up early and doing devos. I am feeling refreshed, although slightly tired, and renewed. God is good.

What did you get in trouble for the most when you were a kid?
Umm, I am not sure. Probably not going to sleep when I should have. I was never a good sleeper when I was a kid.

Which is your wish that is not yet fulfilled?
Ummm... going back to Paris. I have and continue to want to do this at some point, hopefully with my hubby. It would be a wonderful place to go together!! Some day...

If you have to choose a movie title for your life story, what would that be?
"As the diaper turns" (at least that is how I feel right now); Perhaps "The Princess of the Most High"; Or "A life filled with Grace"...Something along those lines.
