Even though I have decended into the valley, the shadow of the mountain still covers me.

A Time of Rest
Well, we spent a lot of time with my in-laws this past weekend. We went out for supper on Saturday, to the zoo on Sunday and then to the mall yesterday, then out for supper last night. Yes, you guessed it: We are all tired. Today is a day of rest, except that Aidan has Preschool this afternoon and Jonathan is still off for one more day. My in-laws are in Banff, then Jasper, then Edmonton, then back here on Saturday for more fun and adventures.
Emma took to Grandad right away. She seems to prefer the opposite sex. One time at church she went to a guy (that was playing on Jonathan's worship team) that she had never met before. I guess she feels drawn to them. Whatever the reason, she went to Grandad right after lunch on Saturday, which is pretty impressive for a girl who plays shy with everyone.
Meanwhile Aidan was the center of attention and loved every minute of it. I think it is a hard transition today because everyone is not hanging on every single word he is saying. That must be hard for him.
In other news, my parents will find out whether or not they are able to come home in between surgery and radiation treatment, by tomorrow. I hope so. My dad and mom need a break from Toronto and my aunt probably needs a break from them invading her one bedroom apartment. My poor aunt, who has never lived with anyone in her life... I feel for her. I will keep you posted.
I hope that you are enjoying your afternoon. I have a couple hours to myself. It is such a rare thing that I don't know what to do with myself....
