Friday Fill-Ins: Details and Coffee

Warning

Today is Friday Fill-ins day! It is sunny and warm today. The kids were up half the night. I let them sleep this morning. There was no point in fighting to get them up for Preschool at 7:30am when they just went back to sleep at 5:00am. I am tired. It will be a play in the backyard, lounging around kind of day.

Tomorrow I am off to a First Aid course. It is all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I will be completely exhausted by the time it is done. Oh well. I get to do something without my kids. I am looking forward to that aspect.

Aidan's Kindergarten Orientation went fine. There seems to be a lot of boys over girls in his class. It is fairly small, though, at about 16 or so. That is a good number. Aidan is excited to be starting.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Here's my answers:

1. Moving forward. Always moving forward!

2. I have been set free. (Thanks be to God!)

3. My best quality is my caring personality and my wonderful singing voice. (Okay that is two!!)

4. I love to pay attention to the details.

5. In nearly 10 years, I will be raising two teenagers. That is scary!! HELP!!

6. More sleep and coffee is what I need right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging out with my husband and getting more sleep, tomorrow my plans include spending all day at a First Aid course and then perhaps going to church and Sunday, I want to have a restful time at the BBQ my small group is having after my First Aid course is done (and I passed)!

Tuesday Tunes & Checkin' In!!

The Sun Pictures, Images and Photos

The sun is shining today! It is supposed to be warm enough to go outside today. I am so excited!! I still have laundry to finish, so we won't be going too far, but we'll see.

Tonight is Aidan's Kindergarten Orientation meeting. He gets to come with us. He is really excited about meeting his teacher and his other classmates. I hope that he does well and that he and his peers get along.

I feel like Kindergarten is the beginning of the end. I mean, he has been under our influence for at least 90% of the time so far. Once he is in school, our influence is still important, but it is way less. I better make sure to make the most of our time together!!

Hopefully I will get to do some reading today. I love reading!

This weekend I am doing a First Aid course. All weekend. 9-5 each day. I will be tired by Monday!

Well, I hear both kids stirring. Just wanted to write a little bit and let you know how my life is going. I hope you will all be having a lovely day today whatever you are doing!

Here's a late Tuesday Tunes!! Love this song!

Manic Monday: Happy Victoria Day!

Happy Victoria Day

Happy Victoria Day to all my Canadian friends!

Off to work a Casino in an hour or so. Really need to have a shower and some breakfast. So, without furthur ado here's today's Manic Monday post! Enjoy!!

If you could completely redecorate any room in your house at no expense to you, what room would you choose?
Our bathroom. It is old and outdated and needs a whole new makeover. The ceiling paint is pealing off and the shower doors and bath tub are disgusting!!

Which hour of the day do you feel goes the slowest?
The hour right before the kids go to bed for the night. It seems to drag on and the kids are just looking for something to do.

If your birthday could be in a different month of the year, when would you have it?
Any month would be better than December and four days before Christmas. I don't care. Perhaps the summer...

Friday Fill-ins and a Busy Week to Boot!!

Wow...it has been one busy week, again.

Wednesday we had a lot of running around to do while Aidan was in Preschool. That was fine. Emma is pretty good when we are out, unless she has decided she wants to do something her way!! After we picked up Aidan we had to go to the Girl Guide Shop. Aidan and Emma were pretty good considering I was not paying attention to them. I did forget a few badges and pins, but other than that, it was okay.

On our way home, Jenny called and said she was going home early but needed me to let her in the house. So, I did and brought her some lunch and we hung out with her.

(ON AN SIDE NOTE: She goes in to the doctors for her test results today. (Her eyes are swollen where the optic nerve and the eye meet!) I hope they are okay. I will let you know.)

Yesterday I met with a bunch of girls from my high school. (William Aberhart) We all have kids now. It was pretty fun. Aidan and Hannah (one of my friends' daughter) held hands while walking around in the mall. It was soooo cute.

Then last night was Girl Guide Advancement. We did a ceremony all together with the Sparks (5-6 yrs), Brownies (7-8 yrs), Guides (9-11 yrs that's my group) and the Pathfinders (12-14 yrs). It was fun, but it is always a lot of work setting up and organizing it.

On a positive note: I am now the recipient of a Bronze Unit Guider Award. It is an award for all my hard work and going beyond what needs to be done as a Unit Guider. I am very proud and will be showing it to you, Sandra when you come out next month.

God has really been affirming what I have been doing lately. I have been wondering if I have been making the right choices and doing the right things. I just feel a sense of peace lately that I have been doing all the right stuff.

As it is Friday, I thought I would end with a fun fill-in! I will be on this weekend too, but have a great one, all!!

ffi

1. If we had no winter it would be spring and summer all the time. I wouldn't miss it, either.

2. The sound of birds singing in the morning is a perpetual astonishment.

3. If I had my life to live over I would make a few different choices, but the rest I would keep the same. I cannot imagine my life without my husband and my kids. They were all meant for me.

4. I plan to rest and play with my kids inside of four and twenty hours.

5. If you've never been thrilled than I feel that you are missing out. It is fun to be thrilled every once and a while.

6. To be interested in the changing seasons means looking around at the wonderous creation God has left us. Also, knowing that He enjoys changing it just like He wants to change us, if we let Him. It may be hard, but it will always be for the better.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to doing something with my husband as we seem to be two ships passing in the night, tomorrow my plans include getting blood work done and going to church and Sunday, I want to go to a gardening center and hang out with my family!
