Two New Developments

Two developments since I was last on here.

First off, my Bible study leader called and said she has broken her arm and cannot do the rest of the study...Would I be able to continue to lead it?  Well, I guess so.  Who else would?  So, you are now reading the blog of the facilitator for Beth Moore's Esther study.  Thank-you.  Thank-you.  Please hold your applause.

Secondly, they are shaking up the organization and governance of Girl Guides.  I am not sure how this will turn out, but it worries me nonetheless.  Perhaps Girl Guides has fulfilled its purpose, but I sincerly hope not.  Girls need a place where we can all get together and not worry about all of the "girl stuff".  Girl Guides was so integral for my development.  It helped me to be healthy and have a healthy view of the world, like nothing else can.  Anyway, please pray that this transition will go smoothly and that it would not affect us that much.  In the end, it is not about the dollars and cents.  It is about the girls.

This afternoon hubby and I are off to that staff retreat.  Get to hang out in West Ed. tomorrow.  I haven't been there in a long time.  (Jennifer and Mom, I can bring an extra suitcase to sneak you in??)  I am sure not much has changed.  Perhaps I will go to a nail place and get my nails done.  Or, I will enjoy a coffee and a book somewhere...

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, no matter what you do.  I have lots of stuff to do, so I better get to it.  No Magster (that's what Emma calls her) today, so that makes it a bit easier to get everything done.

Yes, I think it's much more fun to do West Edmonton Mall in a group. We are starting to plan our holidays for this year. It's too bad I have such a stupid headache. I may have more enthusiasm tomorrow.

Have a great time in Edmonton. Once I learned how to drive those crazy streets, I really liked that city.

Good for you, leading the Bible study, I'm sure you will do fine :). And Esther is so insteresting!

I'm curious what the whole Girl Guides transition will mean. I agree with you, important safety nets like that should be saved. Hope it will!

Hope your weekend in Edmonton was great!!
