Tuesday Tunes 12: Enough with the Christmas Music Already!!

I cooked a turkey yesterday for my parents, sister and my small family. It was the first time I have ever cooked a turkey on my own. It turned out really well. The dark meat was just falling off the bones!!

I am still sick. So is Emma. This has been great fun! NOT! She is also teething (her eye teeth), which can be extremely painful. She has not been her happy-go-lucky self and neither have I. This has not been good. Aidan has been pretty good, though.

I was in Wal-mart this morning...(before I go on, I should mention that I LOVE Christmas! I cannot wait to put out my decorations, trim the tree and listen to Christmas music!) They had all their Christmas stuff out, which was fun to look at. Unfortunately, Wal-mart had their Christmas music on already. I love Christmas (see above), but even this is too early for me. (And I'm a keener!)

On that note, I just wanted to share with you a song book that my mom found for me in Toronto for Aidan. It is filled with hilarious songs about Christmas. It is called, "Where did they hid my presents" by Alan Katz and David Catrow. (click here) They are hilarious. My most favorite one is called, "Batteries", which talks about how on Christmas morning, you (as a parent) need to buy batteries or else the toys won't work!

Anyway, it is a really funny book and worth a look at if you get the chance. He has a couple others out like, "Take me out of the bathtub" and "I'm Still here in the Bathtub". He was the writer of all of those funny songs that Rosie O'Donnell used to sing on her show.

No song today. Just a plug for some Christmas fun, even if it is still over a month before Christmas!!

Rachel has(or had....have not seen it in a long time)that "Take Me Out Of The Bathtub Book". I didn't know there was a Christmas version. :-)
I feel sorry for the employees who have to work in places with the piped in Christmas music so early in the season.(what is it, the day after Halloween now, that some chain stores do that?) You would be sick to death of those songs before the season had really even started....what a way to ruin it.
