Ramblings on a Friday

God's hand Pictures, Images and Photos

Wanted to write something today.  No idea what.  Feeling very tired this morning.  It's gonna be a busy weekend, too!  Starting with a girl's night out tonight to make cards.  I LOVE making cards.  The thought of doing it uninterrupted (except for the girl talk, of course) sounds heavenly.

Jonathan is on worship team all weekend.  While I fully support him in this, and pray for him constantly while he is on team, I still am stuck alone with the kids for the majority of the weekend.  It turns out to be a long weekend...God is gracious, though.  The kids and I usually find something to occupy our time together, so I shouldn't complain too much.  They are growing up so fast, too!  Emma will be 4 in a few weeks and Aidan will be 7!!!  No more little boy...just all boy.  YIKES!

In other news, I will be taking 6 girls (15-17yrs old) to Paris in 2012 - My Ranger group.  (Girl Guides)  We had our parent meeting last night.  The three that showed up are signed up and ready to fundraise.  Hubby is really excited at the prospect of me leaving for 10 days.  Of course my Mom will be around this time, so that should go better.  He can at least take breaks.  It's good for him, too!  I think they all really had fun last time, though they wouldn't admit it, lest I do it again!!

I will leave you with a song today.  I recently purchased the new Chris Tomlin CD.  I love his stuff.  Anyway, here's one of my favorites off this album.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend!!

Tuesday Tunes 69: Stolen

I am feeling so down today.  Stressed out.  Tired.  Worn out.

Anyway, the weather is finally getting warmer, sunnier and less snowy.  That should help a bit.

Also, my new class at Women of Heart is going REALLY well.  I thought I would take a break from Beth Moore.  So, I am taking a course about our Identity in Christ.  So far it has challenged me to change some of my bad habits to more godly habits and to rekindle those dreams that I may have pushed down because of life's circumstances.  Daring to dream again is an amazing thing.  I think I have stopped dreaming for myself.  I am a stay-at-home mom.  What dreams can I possibly acheive in this position?  Anyway, I will keep you updated...

The other news is that we have registered Aidan in soccer for the spring.  He is going to do the skills option (2 practices a week with no games) and then they have 2 Fun Festivals (mini tournament things)!  He is quite excited.

Emma has been having a tough time lately.  She has been crying and clingy at Preschool and also bedtime.  So strange.  I guess she is just having a moment in her development.  It's okay.  I am sure it will pass.

As it is Tuesday, I thought I would post a video for today.  Here's a song that has been going through my head lately...Enjoy!

Friday Fill-In: Disneyfied

I can't believe I haven't blogged in a week.  Well, I am sorry for that.  I have been busy and have had 2 sick kids in the house.  And then one of them decided to get pink-eye on top of it all.  Sigh...

I hope you have all been having a good week.  I know it has been busy, but it has been a good week.  God is working on me constantly these days.  Hard work, but so worth it.

I have also started reading "Wuthering Heights" for the first time.  It is good.  Sad, but good.  I love reading The Classics.  So much literature I haven't read yet.  So little time. LOL!!!

Well, it is Friday, but my brain is elsewhere...So here's a FUN Friday Fill-in.  Hope you have a great day!

And...here we go!

1. So many of us want to be Princesses and Pirates.

2. Cinderella succeeded even in hardship.  She is amazing!!  (And she has mice and birds for friends!!)

3. Those who are accepting of another's imperfections are just like Belle.  She looked past appearances and saw the man under the Beast.

4. Nemo is waiting quietly.

5. Light is in both the light sabers and the moons of Star Wars.

6. Mickey Mouse is the best mouse of all that is ordinary.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life for me, tomorrow my plans include waiting for my Prince to come and Sunday, I want to fly like Peter Pan!

Friday Fill-In: Ahhh the Weekend...

FFI

And...here we go!

1. Right now I need a nap.  I am feeling tired, especially since the roads have been tricky to drive on this week.

2. Coffee is what's in my glass.

3. A copy of this letter is saved in a special place that only I know.

4. A fruit smoothy is best with a spoon.  We made some last night at Guides.  They would have been great with a spoon, especially the REALLY thick ones.

5. The best movie I've seen lately is "Tangled".  Loved every single minute of it.  Funny, humourus and a good princess movie.  A must-see if you haven't seen it yet.

6. Cozy sweaters: like; My new polka dotted, aloe filled and scented socks: love.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to resting and hanging out with the family, tomorrow my plans include driving around, going to church and SLEEPING IN and Sunday, I want to sleep in, rest and have a good meeting with my Ranger group!
