Friday Fill-In: A quickie

1. A cup of tea is so soothing in the middle of the afternoon.  It will always remind me of my Granny, especially in a china tea cup.

2. A warm and cozy fireplace makes a place feel like home.  Wish we had one in our house.

3. Everything has its beauty, you just need to look for it.

4. Can you think of anything better than whipped cream and the taste of strawberries?

5. Art makes me ponder and think.

6. LOL I just noticed I forgot to put ice on my knee.  Better do that before hubby gets home.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting settled at camp, tomorrow my plans include making crafts and dressing like a Queen and Sunday, I want to come home, have a shower, a nice dinner and rest!

An Update

Sorry I haven't been around all week.  I fell and hurt my knee at the staff retreat this past weekend (more to come on the retreat in another post!).  I have been trying to stay off it and have been icing it when I normally would be blogging.  It is doing better, but I know I will need to ice it after walking to pick-up Aidan today.

Tomorrow I am off to Girl Guide camp.  I am taking Emma with us.  We are in a building and are taking the Sparks and the Brownies.  It is a princess camp and it should be fantastic.  I think we will all have a great time.  Daddy and Aidan are going to have a guys weekend.  I think they will both enjoy that, too!

Anyway, I have lots of things to do before then, so I just thought I would update you and let you know I am still allive.  I am going to change my blog again.  This time I think I will pick something that I can leave for awhile.  So, if you come back and it is changed, you know why.

Two New Developments

Two developments since I was last on here.

First off, my Bible study leader called and said she has broken her arm and cannot do the rest of the study...Would I be able to continue to lead it?  Well, I guess so.  Who else would?  So, you are now reading the blog of the facilitator for Beth Moore's Esther study.  Thank-you.  Thank-you.  Please hold your applause.

Secondly, they are shaking up the organization and governance of Girl Guides.  I am not sure how this will turn out, but it worries me nonetheless.  Perhaps Girl Guides has fulfilled its purpose, but I sincerly hope not.  Girls need a place where we can all get together and not worry about all of the "girl stuff".  Girl Guides was so integral for my development.  It helped me to be healthy and have a healthy view of the world, like nothing else can.  Anyway, please pray that this transition will go smoothly and that it would not affect us that much.  In the end, it is not about the dollars and cents.  It is about the girls.

This afternoon hubby and I are off to that staff retreat.  Get to hang out in West Ed. tomorrow.  I haven't been there in a long time.  (Jennifer and Mom, I can bring an extra suitcase to sneak you in??)  I am sure not much has changed.  Perhaps I will go to a nail place and get my nails done.  Or, I will enjoy a coffee and a book somewhere...

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, no matter what you do.  I have lots of stuff to do, so I better get to it.  No Magster (that's what Emma calls her) today, so that makes it a bit easier to get everything done.
