Some books...

I am still trying to come up with some books for the challenge.  So far I have:

The Short Second Life of Brie Tanner - Stephenie Meyer  (This will take me 2-3 days to read, tops!)
Catcher and the Rye - J.D. Salinger (because I have never read it!!)

That's not very many books.  So, I was hoping you might have some suggestions?  Please post if you do!!  I like to read many different types of books (though no sci-fi or fantasy or romance books)!  Any suggestions would be great.

How'bout...?

I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
(by the Australian author of "The Book Thief"--written for young adults, BUT three of my adult friends and now my husband have read it, too--it's a great little book)

Meet Ed Kennedy—underage cabdriver, pathetic cardplayer, and useless at romance. He lives in a shack with his coffee-addicted dog, the Doorman, and he’s hopelessly in love with his best friend, Audrey. His life is one of peaceful routine and incompetence, until he inadvertently stops a bank robbery. That’s when the first Ace arrives. That’s when Ed becomes the messenger. . . .

Chosen to care, he makes his way through town helping and hurting (when necessary), until only one question remains: Who’s behind Ed’s mission?

One for the Money
by Janet Evanovich

That is such a fun and easy read. It is a bounty hunter story. There is a little romance but not gushy, just tension type. If you like it there are 16 others you can read in her series too.

If you like history, I am reading
Samuel Adams, a life
by Ira Stoll

Really interesting read about the American Revolution. It has tons of true information from that time period and our founding fathers conversations. We are studying this for school and it is pretty good.

Have fun reading!!
