Our Olympic Warm-up!

Since the Olympics are starting this week, I thought I would post some pictures from our time watching the Torch go by.  This kids loved every minute of it, except the temperature.  I was totally reminded of 1988 and getting up so early to watch the torch in freezing cold weather.  And I had to wear my Brownie uniform!!  Anyway, it was pretty neat and definitely got us into the spirit of the Olympics.

Aidan and I have set up a wall for all of the medals.  We are going to keep track.  We are both pretty stoked about it.  I will probably put a widget for this on my blog, too!!

Hope your Monday is going great.  I actually baked today!! I know.  Call the press!!
Emma, Aidan and Maggie waving flags and having no idea what was happening.  So cute!!
My sister waving away, trying to keep warm!! (That's Aidan's school in the background!)
Showing off my Olympic gloves!!  Trying to keep warm, too!!
Finally, the torch!!

I remember '88! It was fun! And that just made me sound old!

Wow you got the mittens!! They look so wonderful on tv that I found it a pity that Canada is so faraway otherwise I would get some lol. Must be awesome for you to have the Olympics in your own country again!

Like always I'm totally hooked on the Olympics. Speedskating is our national sport (next to football/soccer) so of course I love to follow that but to be honest I love to watch it all :). It's a pity it's not that easy to watch it here in China and I'm now glad that I was able to follow the first week in Holland (even if the time difference was more complicated to follow it in NL than it is in China). But I try to look things up on the internet as much as I can not to miss too much out on it.
Have fun with the last days!
