We go to Center Street Church, in case you don't know. Our church has always really focused on small groups since our church is so big. This year they are starting a wonderful 6 week series called "40 days of love". Anyway, it looks like a really good series and I can't wait to start it.
Last night Jonathan's worship team was on and they did a special number during the offering. This time they focused on the Love theme and did David Crowder's "Oh How He Loves Us". I really enjoy the lyrics in this song. I mean, it starts off with "He is jealous for me". That line alone speaks to my heart so much. I mean, we spend so much time focusing our affections on other things instead of on Him. That is all He wants: our love; our heart; to be in relationship with us! Not so much to ask, but it is hard for us to do, isn't it?
Anyway, the song is really such a reminder of how much God loves us and what He did and is willing to do for us. We are loved by an amzing Father who loves us more than we can ever understand and fathom. Even if you do not believe in Him, guess what? He still loves you! He will always love you no matter what you do. He loved us before the world began. Before he created us. So there is nothing that we can do to make Him stop loving us. I guess I just find that encouraging. I hope you do, too!
Have a wonderful blessed Sunday!!

I really need to be completely surrounded by His live right about now.
What a lovely entry about love :-).
I googled the song and found it on Tangle and could watch it there :-). Makes you real warm inside!
I agree with you the love is endless, we just need to give it on our turns!
Even though I am not much of a church goer(Easter and Christmas and weddings, only...)for various reasons, I love how you are the complete opposite and are so inspired from your involvement with your church and it's teachings.

is much more "traditional"(with hymns and chanting in Greek), so seeing what looks like rock band and an interior that looks like an auditorium(and huge!) seems so different from my own church experience.
