Tuesday Tunes 21: Something a Little Different

I have been revisiting some old memories lately. One of the most memorable things that happened to me in my youth was Junior High band at Georges P. Vanier. (I played the flute!) We had a really good band teacher (Mr. Brian Ingleson) who was friends with the composer Andre Jutras. He talked Mr. Jutras into commisioning a piece of music for our band. We were going on a tour of France and England that year. It was the most amazing experience to have this famous composer come in and teach you how to play his music. It was amazing to hear him be so passionate about his music and Mr. Ingleson continued on with that after Mr. Jutras was done.

Anyway, it was a great piece of music. I have included a few links so you can hear a snipet (click here) and see that it was written for us (click here).
If you would like to hear a non-professional version of it, you may go here.

Thanks for sharing with me and enjoy!!
