Spring Reading Thing 2011: An Update

Hello all!!  Just wanted to let you know how my reading is progressing.  I finished "The House at Riverton" last week.  Very good book.  Totally a good read.  Kate Morton did not disappoint.  I added another book to my list that I MUST read by the beginning of July.  My Rangers and I are doing a challenge where we all read the same book and then discuss it!  I love it.  Anyway, we are reading "Water for Elephants".  So far?  Well, it's okay.  I am not sure I would pick this book to read on my own.  It's well written and all, but I have no interest in the circus whatsoever.  Anyway, hopefully I will be done it in a couple of weeks and then on to another book....

There are several I am interested in reading. "The Paris Wife" is the story of Hemingway's wife.  I think that sounds awesome.  There is also "Sarah's Key" that looks good.  Also, "The Secret Daughter" and "Room".  Anyway, you know what I'll be doing this summer!! READING!!

On a side note, what do you all think about e-readers?  I would be interested to know your opinion.  I recently have said that I would NEVER buy one...BUT if you could highlight and save sections and quotes...Then easily find them later....That would be awesome.  I don't know if you can or not, but still....Anyway, share your thoughts!!

Here's my updated reading list...

1) Little Bee - Chris Cleave (Read)

2)  Lake of Dreams - Kim Edwards (Read)

3) The House at Riverton - Kate Morton (Read)

4) The Distant Hours - Kate Morton

5) Bringing Up Boys - Dr. James Dobson (Read)

6) Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen (Currently Reading)

Ahhh... Mr. Darcy

So I was in Starbucks yesterday morning.  Emma was in Preschool, so you will often find me here.  I like to go and do homework, read, spend time with God and, of course, have a coffee.  Yesterday was a regular morning, until I looked up.

There at a table across the way was Colin Firth's twin brother.  Okay.  He had glasses.  He also had some unwanted facial hair (I say unwanted because Colin (we're on a first name basis) doesn't have any)!  He was also a bit chubbier.  But still.  The eyes.  The dimples, the hair...It was all there.

Needless to say, I did the next most important thing: sent a text to my sister and hubby.  Jen wanted me to get a picture.  Jonathan thought I should go up and start talking in an English accent.  I did neither of those.  First of all, he was looking down the whole time doing a crossword puzzle (not writing his sister Georgiana).  Secondly, he left quite abruptly after receiving a phone call which made him quite perturbed (or proud - hard to say).  So, we will have to content ourselves with pictures of the original man himself!

I had to share.  Now I have a huge urge to watch P&P.  If you wonder what I am doing this weekend, that will probably be on my list!!  Until then, enjoy this fan video, which I've shared before, but it bears repeating!!
