Manic Monday: Feeling Stressed Out

I have been feeling so stressed out lately.  I mean, things have been tough at home with the 3 kidlets.  I am trying my best, with God's help and strength, but I am getting worn out.  Any prayers would be appreciated.

Since it feels like a Manic Monday today, it is a good day for this meme!!  Feel free to join in!!  Just link back to the Manic Monday Blog!!

How has your life been different than you imagined?
When I was younger, I always wanted to be a pop star.  So I guess that is different.  I don't want to be a pop star anymore, anyway.

Other than that, I always imagined I would be married with 2 kids.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I always knew that I wanted to stay at home with my kids when they were young.  All of this has happened.
One thing that is amazing to me is the fact that I am eager to go back to school at some point and do a Masters in Education or English.  That is amazing to me!!  I never thought that would happen.

Also the fact that I enjoy writing so much.  I didn't expect that, either.
What lessons have you learned from your relationships?
You need to be honest, accepting of differences and show grace.  Grace is so important.  We are not perfect and neither are the people we are in relationship with.
If you had to move to a city besides the one you currently live in, where would you move?
Well, my initial reaction is Paris.  But that would be expensive and what would I do there?

I guess the more probable answer would be somewhere close to my in-laws so that we could visit them more and the kids would be able to get to know them better.  My in-laws would love that, too!

Since this is such a good question, I ask it of you!! Where would you live??

Busy!!

Life has been busy this past week.  Today will be a day of rest (with a bit of grocery shopping thrown in)!  Should be a good day, though.  Plan on vegging out most of the day.

Hope you all have a good day.  Will be back to post more tomorrow!!  Here's something fun!!  On Sundays we usually have a special dessert of some kind.  With that in mind...

You Are Transparent and Real

You are a somewhat shy person. You often feel overwhelmed by the chaotic world around you.

You have a gentle touch with others. You try to be subtle and compassionate in all your actions.

You are very loyal. Once you find something (or someone) you love, you stick with it.

You are a bit of a skeptic. You avoid fads and new fangled ideas. You're a bit old fashioned that way.

The Uniqueness of Children

As I was sitting here catching up on blog posts from the weekend, I just keep hearing Emma behind me.  She has been playing for almost a half hour now with the M&M stuffy Jenny bought her in Las Vegas.  (The green one!)  Anyway, hubby and I have been noticing some subtle differences between our children.  Things that we enjoy, which is so cool.

Emma, for instance, can remember minute details about what she did with friends, the names of her friends and things that people said.  She can play with her stuffies for hours, making up stories, pretending they are talking to each other and also having imaginary friends (Tinty, Dopey and Sissy to be exact).

Aidan, on the other hand, LOVES to play with adults.  Loves to play computer games and video games.  He also loves to read.  He cannot rememeber people's names, although he is getting much better at this.  But he is hardly ever able to tell me what he did at school.  It is not because he can't remember, but because he doesn't care to talk about it or tell me.  To him it is in the past.  Let's not dwell on it.  Let's move on.

Anyway, it is just such a reminder of how uniquely God has made us all, including our children.  I mean, they came from the same two people and yet they are very different.  I think that is so great and special.  You and I are unique and special, too.  And God made us for specific purposes, which makes me feel so good inside: to know that I have a purpose to fulfill for God.  (Even if it seems all I do is wipe things all day (i.e. noses, bums, tables, floors, dishes, etc.)  God has something special for me, which is a lot more than just the cleaning.  I get to stay at home and raise two kids (and help raise a third).  This is a huge task, but one that comes with huge rewards.

I am so proud to be a Mom today and always.  I am proud of the job that I do.  And I feel so blessed to have 2 unique children to share life with.  What a blessing.
