Weekend in Review: It is a Manic Monday!!

Good day everyone! It is Monday. I can feel it in my bones. Our weekend was very busy:

Friday - supper at the Cheesecake Cafe for Mother's Day. They have Callebaut Cheesecake right now, which was simply divine.

Saturday - swimming in the morning; Aidan had a birthday party in the afternoon (he was the most well behaved boy!) and then I worked in Promiseland that night.

Sunday - Jonathan got up with Aidan and made me pancakes. Then he went and cut my parents' lawn. I bought a few groceries. Then we had small group in the afternoon. After supper I had to go to the airport and pick up my parents.

I did not get to spend Mother's day with either of the two Moms who mean the most to me. (My mom and/or Jonathan's) We tried to call Sandra yesterday, but no answer...(I hope you are alright, Sandra and not trapped under something heavy!!) We will call later today again.

Anyway, I am tired and it is no wonder. Look at what we did! Crazy!!

Hopefully I will be able to tackle my garden this weekend. That is the plan, anyway. My mom thinks there are some tulips and some daffodils growing in my garden already. We'll see how they are. I will leave them this year. They never bloomed last year. We'll see.

Okay, so I thought I would do the Manic Monday thing again today. It should be fun...or not!! Anyway, without furthur ado...

How old were you when you learned to tie your shoes?
I think I was in Kindergarten or Grade one. I know I did wear velcro in Kindergarten. I had a doll that I used to practice things on like tying shoes, doing buttons, snapping snaps...

Have you ever snooped in somebody else's medicine cabinet?
I wonder if anyone hasn't. Sometimes you are just curious. I know I am. So I have looked.

Who do you think you are?
Obviously I think that I am someone who needs to know what is in other people's bathroom cabinets. I don't know why...

Other than that I think I am a Daughter of the Most High God, Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Singer, Writer, Reader, Girl Guide Leader and Mountain lover!

A Saturday Blogthingy: Bikinis

Something fun for today!! Have a wonderful day, girls!

You Are a Retro Bikini!

You prefer a bikini that's flirty and feminine, not flashy.

You look sweet and sexy - a rarity on the beach these days!

Friday Fill-ins: Flags and Bullies

And...here we go!

1. Apples are to oranges as cats are to dogs.

2. I am so done with people and their children. Bullies start early it seems...and that's all I have to say about that.

3. I think I hear Emma singing and Aidan reading.

4. The wonderful Canadian flag.

5. Do what you want to do, but don't come crying to me if it does not turn out to be exactly as you had planned.

6. Aidan was walking down the street and behind him was a Radio Flyer wagon; in the wagon was a bucket filled with dinosaurs.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to perhaps going out for Mother's Day and then relaxing at home, tomorrow my plans include swimming lessons, dropping Aidan off at a party and then working in Promiseland and Sunday, I want to eat the wonderful "Dad flips" (aka Pancakes) that Aidan and Daddy are going to make me (totally Aidan's idea), small group and then pick up my parents from the airport!

A Quick Update

Aidan with Patches(the Preschool bear) at the park yesterday

On the slide

Trying to get the kids to look at the camera at the same time...Not quite!

Emma and Patches.

I just wanted to fill you in with an update on the kids.

Emma has been sleeping quite well in her big girl bed. She is doing so well with it!! I knew she was ready. I just wasn't sure if we were!!

She is not doing so well at swimming, though. She cried for the first 15 minutes after getting in the water. She did not like the water too much. After that, though, she did do some floats, even one for the teacher who she is totally afraid of!!

Aidan, on the other hand, is doing AWESOME!! He is so excited to do his lessons and even put his head under the water on Saturday (which he has never done). We are very proud.

That's all. My parents are in Toronto for my Dad's 6th month check-up. Hopefully everything goes alright.

Have a wonderful Monday...if that's possible!
